12 nights 14 nights no cat making their loop yet should be coming back through in the next 5 days.Finally had one of the marten come back through 12 nights for that one,I don't think he'll trip the bobcat trap,I try to run 4.5 pounds of pan tension to avoid catching them after the season has closed.Over the last years I've only caught one,must have landed on the pan warm night so nothing was frozen feet so I was able to release that one.Heading into town later to take in some HS Holiday hockey tourney,have a good rest of the afternoon everyone.

Morning,took in a couple of hockey games yesterday,boy's won but didn't play well.Hope the bobcat shows up in the next check or two,I dropped off my golf clubs yesterday to be brought out to CA in the semi to the bee's.Hope to play 5,6 times while I'm out there.Good luck to anyone still after a bobcat or two.

Hope your cat make another round there shortly so you can get another shot at it before you leave. Uf not then I guess it'll just get bigger for you next year. Hope today is the day!

No track's yet everything is melting and snows dropping from the tree's big time finally.Some tree's and branches might straighten up a little,37 to 39 for the high today.

Pulling the plug on the bobcats next Wed Jan 1st,I fly out to CA Jan 7.Hope I can pick up one more bobcat a coyote and maybe a fox by next Wed for the tanned fur project,if not they'll get what I have...

This weather sucks lol.

Took in 3 hockey games in yesterday.the girls ran into a really good goalie,they won 2 to 1,the second game was a good one also went to OT and then our boys played a very good game and won 4 to 1.I'll take in their final game of the holiday classic at 3pm today after I check the short line this morning,it never froze last night to it will be sloppy out in the woods again today,we've lost about 4 to 5" of the the 13" we had from the last two weeks.Running out of checks,sure hope 1 or 2 of the cats will return before I pull.Have a good day everyone...

A decent size cat track on the main road today,about 100 yards from an area with a couple of trail sets off a bait and about 3/8 of a mile north of the south cubby.Hope he keeps hunting in that area we might get to see him in the next couple of checks.

I had a bear destroy 3 of my 6 boxes here behind the house last night. I really do hate those things. I will pull the other 3 tomorrow and just be done with it. He twisted up 3 Belisle 220's and turned them into scrap iron.

That sucks 160 everything is waking up. Found many sets of coon tracks today. Did get a couple more cats sets in but this weather really isn't helping any.

The swamps here where I had set opened back up so there is no more walking on the ice. It must be time to hang up the traps for the winter and go someplace warm for a couple of months.

Critters are moving like crazy here since yesterday.

Yep put a lot of stuff away today. Did some ice fishing yesterday and got 5 lbs. of pickled fish going and caught a few to eat also. 1 more otter to put up and that's all done.

Tomorrow is pull day for me down here in Kansas, then back home to see if I can catch a cat of two there. Weather down here has been wonderful but not if you want the critters to move. Don't know if I want to come back n if things are that bad up there....

It is suppose to cool down but there isn't much snow left. In some areas I am sure it is all gone.

Went through the ice twice, this weather is fun, heavy on the sarcasm.

Took in the last two hockey games this afternoon,both were really good games.Had some friends up ice fishing,they did well,It's cooling down now I'm sure we've lost 4,5" of our snow,it will be frozen now,a good base,now when we get the next snow fall it will be pretty good.4 more checks,be nice to pick up a critter or two to finish out the season.

Hopefully we can get some snow shortly on the big lake or may have to break down and buy an atv.

3 perfectly good snowmobiles and it is MN lol. Did I mention i don't like this kind of weather.
