How far from Custer were you hunting?


These were shot about 150 miles from Custer. I did find some about 25 miles from here.

Thanks for answering my question. I've never hunted huns, but am a little familiar with the Custer area. I didn't know if that area is good habitat or if you had to travel a little.

Unfortunately I have to travel to get the best upland hunting. I can typically shoot sharptails through the season and doves the first couple weeks of season close to home.

Bird hunting of any type is a good day if you are with a friend or two plus a reasonable good dog and if possible take a young hunter along How can you go wrong with a combination like that
