When living in Alaska, you get to see some really big animals. This past fall I saw a 50”+ moose. The area he was in wasn’t open to hunting.

Both! I love eating deer, elk and moose. That is the order I rate them from bottom to top. We love the Sitka Blacktail, so the bottom of my list is still very good tasting meat. Something special about the moose though. It is definitely the family’s favorite.

I find moose meat similar to beef. Not the same, similar. Generally it isn't as fat. Seasoning and sauce and it grills up really well.
Fairbanksons have moose in their yards year round. Not every day but often enough. We have to fence our gardens to keep them safe from moose.
Ak. F&G does predator control in some areas to help the ungulate population!
