Must have been really exciting to have a live fox bouncing around in the back of your truck! Better than a Skunk (been there)

When running long mink lines, i got home late and opened back of trk to take fur out and hang up. Whoa here is a big buck mink bouncing around in back of trk. I took awhile to corner and dispatch mink. Had to be a live mink in trap that i THOUGHT i dispatched. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neat memory makings!!
Do you spray down your fox for fleas..? Around here, reddies seem to carry more fleas than yotes.
I hope you all catch a bunch more!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone, they are appreciated.
NonPCfed, most do have fleas. I've never sprayed for them. I'd rather deal with a few fleas rather than the nasty chemicals in the sprays.
We hang everything in the fur shed. On the days she doesn't have school we have breakfast then head back to the fur shed to do the skinning and boarding. She skins, I board and flip any that are ready.
On days she has school we let them hang until afternoon until she gets off school.
I think as they cool down the fleas tend to abandon ship. She does complain about seeing fleas sometimes when we go back to skin after breakfast but we hardly ever see any when they hang all day. I don't usually start trapping until late December so it's cold.
Neither of us has ever been bitten by a flea as far as I can remember.
Eh...wot?

When I was a teenager, I was running a little coon line on a Honda 3-wheeler. I had a heavy duty tote box bolted to the back rack of the ATC, and it was lined with a garbage bag. When I'd catch a coon, I'd shoot it and throw it in the tote and fold the garbage bag back over it. I had three in there, when I pulled up to another catch. Shot it, and packed it over. Had the coon in one hand and opened the garbage bag with the other when a very live coon came barreling out of the box right in my face... I went tripping and falling backwards and the coon hit the ground running. I did somehow manage to get it re-shot though and back in the box, lol.
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.
