Is there any way one can make the white fur on a bobcat belly brighter? Wipe with a Clorox Wet Wipe? OxyClean on a damp rag? Any tips or tricks, please post.

I have a long cardboard box my dry bobcats fit in well. Each cat gets a good borax dry batch (front and back) before going to sale. Rub and brush it through all the fur, with special attention of any dried blood or greasy spots. When done take them out on the lawn and blow any residual borax out of them with a leaf blower. You will like the results.

I thought about posting a pic of my fine silky white chest hair.... but decided shaming a fellow Trapperman member would be too low even for me.

I have a long narrow plastic tote that I keep my borax in that works pretty good for the dry borax bath. It is not going to turn a caste belly bright white but it will clean it up and make it look better IMO.
You can use a leaf blower or the shop vac as described by E-Tex to blow the borax off but I recommend you do that outside.

![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-33876-242520-20200514_194605.jpg) I give mine a good cleaning with Borax, then use my shop vac (reverse the hose so its blowing) and a fur comb to fluff up the fur. Makes my southeast Texas cats look a lot better. Very nice fur handling.
