What is being done by the authorities?
Is he villain being properly punished?

Hopefully all that called the authorities call back to find out what happens.
If the pressure is kept on by frequent calls by concerned citizens maybe they will do something.

Agree ....they usually play dumb and ask for forgiveness ( and often granted )

Wright Brothers...I do not personally know the trapper that was robbed. Clearly you are a kind individual for making the offer to provide them some traps. Good on you.

AntiGov...I appreciate the words of encouragement. I have never been much of a social media/forum guy that actively posts much. As I said, I do alot of reading from all of you, but I've always looked at social media as one more thing that I have to tend to/keep up with. I already feel like I could only sleep an hour a night and still not get everything done. I'm currently wrapping up my red fox trapline for the year. Maybe I'll do some more posting after I'm done with some observations/stories from the line. This forum is a wealth of knowledge as well as entertainment at times.

Dirty D...I plan to put in a follow up call to the PGC, although I believe that they'll be pretty tight lipped on whether or not the guy was found and fined. Regardless, I'll give them a shout in a few days to ask. Let us not get discouraged though that often times things like this end with a warning or a slap on the wrist. It doesn't change the fact that we all need to do what's right by reporting things of this nature. Change occurs slowly, but even if this case ends with a slap on the wrist, I'm willing to bet that this dope thinks twice about stealing another trap. It's the principle here.

Doubt it will stop him from doing it again, but maybe he'll learn to keep his mouth shut. Game depts don't need to leave the office to find all the violators they want on facebook....

Fella could make some flyers and post 'em in appropriate locations warning others of a trap thief in the area . . .

Update: A PGC warden reached out to me about 20 minutes ago. She thanked me for filing the report and confirmed the same thing that dispatch said yesterday about several people calling this in. She said that they were able to track the guy down and she was actually heading to his home at the moment. She said she loves to hear that people are still trapping and was impressed that fellow trappers took the time to file reports. She sounded none too pleased about the fact that this clown was as proud as he was to broadcast his thievery. Something tells me that she's going to stick this guy with a fine, and rightfully so. Score one for the good guys. Again, good work everyone.

I'm interested to see how this plays out.

Hopefully the PGC gal will teach him an expensive lesson.

Unfortunately people like that don't tend to learn very fast.
