I have incidentally caught dozens of red foxes in 330 bucket sets which were set for wolverine.

Caught on last year on a high fence job. Had a trail going under the gate so set a 220. A few days later had a red waiting for me.

Never on purpose but I've caught a decent number of both reds and coyotes in 220s on trails back in the days when coon were worth trapping.

I tried it once and ended up getting two foxes with that set. It had a high percentage of refusals, but it was an interesting experiment!

Boco gets em to stick their heads in a 120. I'd think the trigger wires would be the concerning issue with a fox. Maybe spreading them way wide and tie a tiny fishline between them? Worth a shot anyways.

Heard of guys getting gray fox in 220's alongside stone walls, elevated about 12", they run right into them, sorta like a snare.

Like Gulo, I have caught a few in wolverine buckets. Pretty disappointing to have a 10 dollar fox plug up your 400 dollar wolverine set.

I'm NOT too much for 220 and 330 Conibears on land. We have so many dogs in the area that it's not feasible. But in the early 80's I was at my fur buyers one Saturday morning and 2 guys showed up with a Semi-truck with over 600 "unskinned" coons in the freezer trailer! No Joke. Over 600 BIG Minnesota Racoons. Most of the coons caught in 5-gallon buckets with a 220 stuck inside! I averaged $32.50 on about 100 coons that season (1987?). What's $32.50 X 600? More than enough for a couple of trips to the grocery store and a tank full of petrol even today.

Or slide the triggers as far off to either side of the Conibear opening as possible.

Hide it a bit with dry grass and youll get fox. Doesnt take much to blend in. I catch a bunch of fox with the 8" savageau which is roughly 220 size i believe. when i was targeting fox id even take a handful of said grass and twist the trigger wires around it.
