you will learn about the issue, the real problems , the people and the organization.


Family Promise was a good organization , I used to cook for them regular , it housed women and families that were homeless and it did a lot of job coaching and life management so they wouldn't leave the shelter just to be back in a few months.

a significant number of people use food assistance and go to food banks because they do not know how to cook.
We have failed to teach actual cooking , leaving so much up to marketing to sell easy.

rice is a very good example , how many people think cooking good rice is difficult?
it isn't difficult at all , it takes about 30 minutes ,yet there are 5 to 1 products in the rice isle to simplify , what isn't difficult for more of your money.

I am telling ya, groceries are expensive. If I had any assistance whatsoever I’d be so grateful but they only give the ones who don’t work an EBT card. It’s ludicrous
