And you probably have to comply with shooting hours for rabbits in Ohio

Snares would be my first choice. They are super easy to snare. Second would be to use cages near their dens and brush them in heavy. Make them a spot they feel safe and protected from above. Worst case, call an exterminator. And last, be VERY quiet when hunting Wabitts! Sorry, I just couldn't help myself.

I have nothing clever to put here.

And maybe put cardboard down and cover it with snow so the rabbits can't feel that they're stepping on wire

This time of year, bait with high energy grains. Dry beans, sunflower seeds, popcorn kernels or piece of ear corn if you have it. And cover the cage trap to make it a dark tunnel and place it near the same cover where the tracks are.

Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

I cage trapped some cottontails for a lady who had them digging under her shed. I used some lettuce and carrots. Put some outside the front of the cage trap. Not too much, but enough to give them a free taste. Trail a larger amount inside the trap with the largest amount beyond the pan. Worked fine for me.
You know you're a lousy driver when Siri says, "In 400 feet, stop and let me out!"

Maybe you could build a smaller version of your large highly effective coyote live trap and incorporate a veterinary society approved execution chamber into it.
United we stand.
