You are in Texas, what do you know about cold nights. The carhart rain defender is hard to beat. But I mostly wear whatever I an vet cheap or free. I break out the good stuff just for when it's needed.

It was 35 bucks compared to 78 for carhartt so thought I would give it a chance. Very warm so far. The only thing its missing is the inside pocket I get a year or less out of a carhartt and its shot so at half the price the wrangler might end up being a good deal.

I bought a new tin jacket a couple months ago from them because my dad's old one is older than me and probably due for retirement, but it's also uninsulated and I found a new insulated one and decided it was worth $400 since it'll probably outlive me and I'm in my 30's
