I'd be really curious to hear what your not-so-serious technique would be.....

I would think that a Carrot holding a beer bottle may spook them.

I have nothing clever to put here.

If you have an apple tree you can cut some branches off of that's a very good rabbit bait.
Cut them into smaller pieces and have them lead from the outside of the cage to some behind the treadle
Cover the cage with something windproof and position it so the wind won't blow into the opening of the cage
They not only want food they want someplace out of the wind and cold

Or save a lot of time and just go rabbit hunting

I've seen mice & squirrels do things like that, but never rabbits, but if there's tracks there and they chew marks are consistent with rabbits, there's a million ways to deal with them. At 7yrs old i was snaring them, pretty easy but I also snared the neighbors cats....good riddance. I've also burst the odd break line after heavy breaking from 160+MPH in the ole 87' Stang GT, not a bid deal unless you're headed for a 90.

I'm thinking the detention would be a ball. But why was Savell not listed? We need him in our detention too!

Unless I missing something I thought brake lines were metal or metal lined. (boat trailer excluded.) What kind of vehicle? If not metal they are rubber. Only thing "soybean" are wire coverings. Just saying whistle

The problem is some auto makes have made the coating on wires, like starters it seems, and the coating is soy based and in winter when food is scarce the rabbits will chew on the wires. Seen it a few times and been called out for NWCO about, never heard of them chewing brake wires though.

I have repaired lots and lots of rodent damage to wiring harnesses. Never replaced a brake hose for rodent damage. That's have to be one hungry wabbit.
