I ran out of the good LONG ones with the BIG heads sold by the trapping supply outfits.

I went to order two boxes of 100 from Cumberland's but shipping was more than the pins cost. I ended up ordering from Amazon but they have the shorter pins and smaller heads. Lesson learned...again...

Which trapping supply outfit has them at the best price including shipping?

Eh...wot?

Make a bigger order to offset shipping costs?

Like many things, when I find something I like I tend to buy them in bulk. Like you, I like the long ones with the big head. I found some at a convention years ago and bought 10 boxes. I will never have to worry about running out again.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I've used the cheap plastic head ones on coons, they're a pain to work with but cheap...I can't justify paying shipping on a small low cost order.
Tried an electric staple gun but then you have to search for the staples.

gcs, be careful with those plastic headed pins. I used them many years ago when I started trapping. Eventually you will have the head of one break while you're pushing it in and it's gonna hurt!

I like the ones no BS lures sells. Not sure about shipping.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I'm about 50 minutes from John's place. Used to go there quite a bit to sell furs and buy supplies.

The new owners, Matt and Danielle Brophy, are about twenty minutes further north. I haven't been to their place.

Not a bad idea but it would probably cost me more in gas doing the 2 hour 20 minute round trip than shipping would be from somewhere else.

Thanks for all the ideas and help everyone.

I run cheap dollar store pins. And have a separate container with 100 or so longer trapping supply pins that in general I don't used. Until I need to

Get the weight and dimensions of the box and send them a label from Pirate ship. Will save you a bundle.

I have always got mine from MTP. But do agree make your order big enough to off set shipping costs.

No such thing as a good aluminum pin anymore.

Unless you still have some from the 80s!

The aluminum pins I have bend easy and I'm running out. I just searched on Amazon and they have heavy duty plastic ones with a large head I'm going to try. Can't be any worse than the aluminum ones I have.
