Jurassic I would bet you guys are going to have a blast and have some good eating too!

I used to go on an annual Snowshoe hunt in northern Wisconsin with Beagles. One of the crew did all the cooking and I remember he would brown them in a frying pan and then add Cream of Mushroom soup and serve over buttered noodles. It was great!

Growing up we raised Beagles and killed a ton of Cottontails over them. Lots of fun!

That’s awesome JP! We used to snare in Mitchell as a kid…..when Mitchell was a tiny town with bush between every house lol. Show n Tell at school didn’t go well when you pulled a rabbit out of your bag.
We’re snaring right now along the line for bait & fun. We’ve lost a few of those big footed snowshoes, the cheaper gold wire from coop or Cdn Tire snapped. Not at a tight bend either, it be snapped about an inch from the tree, maybe a nicked wire from pliers or something?

Shakey, that gold wire has gone to crap about 5 years ago. They must be making it cheaper cause it use to never snap. And then all of a sudden we were losing every catch.

I bought the stainless steel wire and it’s been good!

I use to hang snares all over town along sidewalks in peoples hedges when I was around 10 years old lol. It was awesome!

We got a roll of the silver stuff at the shack. Think buddy paid $25 for it at Cabelas last year. We put his dad in charge of making up some snares one morning and now we got a friggin slinky to deal with. [video:youtube]https://youtube.com/shorts/R1qwsojgKCM?si=U9F31jioZLtfUuKm[/video]
