You might want to wait a bit. We got a lot of snow up here right now and them quaker wimmins is looking for someone to keep them warm. You should take the Yeungling back with you and and give it to the Mesicans. Tell them it's the only type of Mescal around. They'll beat feet back across the Rio Grande faster than speedy Gonzales.

Have a couple ancestors that fought for him If you have their names and birth dates, death dates, birth places and death places, PM them to me if you want to and I'll run them through www.familysearch.org and see if we are related. I can usually find most people with just a few of those details. Only a very small percentage of the European descendants in the US have fought and they are mostly related to each other a great many times. Veterans and the children of veterans, mostly married people who were also descended from veterans, probably because their families stayed lifelong friends. It's that way thousands of years back. Those same people typically traveled and settled close together too. The early migrations into new areas in the US are fascinating to me. In my family, the common bond seems to be military service. Typically after a conflict, soldiers were paid with land in a newly opened territory. A large number of my ancestors received land in North Carolina for fighting in the French and Indian War. They had to meet at a tavern once a year and pay 2 pepper corns for their land, only if asked for. Basically it was a party and get together for French and Indian War Veterans. Strangely, after a war, a lot of the kids and grandkids of the veterans become pacifists and there descendants become soldiers again when they need to. I had 12 many great grandfathers who were Quakers, who left their religion, in response to British atrocities during the Revolutionary War. A few generations before their grandfathers and great grandfathers were mostly admirals, comptrollers, secretaries and captains in the British navy. Most of them married second and third cousins for many generations. Keith Same here Kieth … came from Carolina to Texas before Texas was a country… got land … this is from my family’s ancestry book that was made years ago… a lot of research went into it .. I am French / Irish …. Got a whole lot of family buried at that cemetery in Robertson county ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-105-244155-img_0942.jpeg)

At least 27 sets of grandparents I am descended from moved to Ohio in that time period from North Carolina, while lots of their siblings and other relatives moved to Texas. You can pull up our grandparents property deeds and military records on Family Search and even some of their journals of the wars. Actor and Paul Dobbins are related to me from those grandparents too. Keith
