So, if Trump does institute a 25% Tariff on goods from Canada, how will that affect the wolf, wolverine, and the rest of the "ZOO"? How much will U.S. buyers be willing to pay for goods that have 25% tax added on? Because that's who buys the bulk of these goods.

How many US people sell zoo items at FHA? It has little to do with the fur trade unless you are a Canadian. As far as buying goes, if US buyers will not pay the price, again it will fall on the Canadians.

It's the U.S. people that BUY most of the zoo items.

Do you think he will put a blanket tariff on Canadian goods? My guess is it would be targeted.

If he does put a blanket tariff on than the buyer will either adjust accordingly or pay more.

The zoo items are not from US trappers for the most part. I have no concern for US buyers not supporting Canadian trappers. They can support the US trappers.

I think a lot of the fur is in warehouses in the states. I might be wrong but if it is, there wouldn't be tariffs. I wouldn't think so.

OK, that's a deal. Send me all your wolves, marten, and wolverines so I can buy them.

You won't buy many out of ND, we have no season on any of them. Maybe that is why I could care less about them. I would guess more zoo items are bought by US buyers then ship up by US trappers. The buyers can buy them here and bypass the 25%.

Most of the fur is in Canada. In North Bay. The raccoon bulks are in Cambridge, Wisconsin. Most everything else is in Canada, including ALL of the samples - and since wolves, wolverines, bears are usually sold individually, they are in Canada.

But to back up a couple steps. This 25% tariff is all talk at the present. Why get so excited about something that hasn’t happened. I predict this whole tariff thing will be toned down considerably before any of it can take effect.

Every body knows the person doing all this talking is mostly a big bag of wind.

And exactly where would the U.S. buyers that need these goods buy them in the U.S.?

Even if he is a big bag of wind he does things like appointing staff and directors of departments that support your lifestyle.

Yep,for double! That won't work as a business model. Tourist prices in Alaska for those species. AND, there is no grading or standards in Alaskan tourist shops.
