Nice update.... tell us about the red dog your hubby is hugging.
Hey guys!

Well..... After Eddie's childhood Labrador died, I didn't want a dog for a many years then I had finally decided to compromise and get a puppy while having a potty training toddler as long as it was an Aussie (my favorite) instead of a lab. So we got her and I let Eddie name her Dixie. She's my trapline dog trained for coyotes and does very well.
Well, 2 months later and a long story short on the day Eddie got baptized we got a random call and was given a Lab that was perfect for exactly everything Eddie was looking for! 3 months old. She came with the name "Mink" which is hilarious because that is a name I definitely would have picked. So he named my dog and I love the name of his dog

Mink is trained for shed hunting and waterfowl retrieving. She comes to conventions with us most times too
(Mink was the pick of the litter for a guy who breeds and raises hunting labs. All his dogs got a rare disease from eating raw deer meat. It is bacterial that effects the development of puppies spines in utero, but does not affect adult dogs. It develops in utero but appears outwardly around 9 weeks old by causing sever problems with walking. After lots of tests to figure out the cause, he learned most of his breeders had it and had to start over from his line of hunting dogs. Mink was an adolescence when she got it so she has no symptoms or problems but can no longer breed for that reason.)
