Saw in Trappers World Morris Fenner is retiring from writing his captivating articles in the magazine. I have to admit through the decade's I have taken the article writer's for granted, guess like most I just thought they would always be around. But over time the 'real deals' like Mo have slowly faded away. I don't see those type trapper's being replaced anytime soon. Many have passed on now as well. You had a good run Mo and I enjoyed your ramblings over the years.

Hope all is well with you.

Otter, mink, coon, beaver, fox, coyote, bobcat...the guy has done it all! Like J said Mo was fun to read. He had a knack for describing the story so well it was like you're there with him.
Thanks Mo'

He wrote a otter book but caught big numbers of mink back in the day as well, then migrated south to put up big numbers of beaver and somehow got blown out west to end up a lazy bobcat trapper, lol. Oh he's caught a few coyote's in his day as well.

I corresponded with Morris by snail mail back in the early 70's, when I started trapping as a kid. Always answered my many questions on trapping. Always enjoyed his articles too!

Morris is an old friend and has certainly paid his dues along the way not mentioning his sharing of his adventures. Many of us are heading out to pasture before long and some of us are already there.

A personal friend of mine who I can sum him up by saying "he is the real deal". Thanks Mo for being the friend and mentor you are.

I'm glad you all enjoyed reading my writing about my trapline experiences, memories and ramblings. It's been a real pleasure writing all these years for Trapper's World. But the best is all your comments about me which I greatly appreciate. My final quote is that I'm just '' all wrote out." Thanks again.
