Let's go back to 15" tires on trucks

I'm actually really pleased with the newer dodges. They cost way too much, but they're a nice pickup. Before I had a nice fancy truck, I'd have said keep all the bells and whistles, I don't need any of it (and I truly don't, I have several trucks that are too old to be that fancy) but now that I've experienced heated/cooled leather seats, and a heated steering wheel, and I can hook up my trailer on the first shot every time with a backup camera, and I can start my truck with a remote, I don't think I'll ever be okay going back to not having all those things

All the bells and whistles are great, but the cost is too high.
A basic 80's type truck, and 4x4 is all I need, I would prefer an 8' bed, but got to admit the rear extension is nice to put your crap in, but I don't need a seat, just those short extensions like they used to have is enough room and you get a 7' bed...so good enough...

Actually a 4x4 diesel Hi Lux would be perfect....except you can't get one

Heated seats and steering wheel are awfully nice after a winter day on the ocean.

Traction control is not needed though. Sometimes spinning the tires is better than not being able to.

I think review mirror defrosters should be included in all new cars. I know if you're far enough south it doesn't matter but anywhere with frost it's so much nicer.

A truck with a drop side bed like this. I have a flatbed because I carry things that won't fit in a pickup bed. Would be nice to have sides I could raise, or not as needed.

I would not want to have a vehicle without cruise control. It has to be able to carry 3000 pounds in the bed.

Let's go back to 15" tires on trucks

Just picked up an almost new set of Firestone 15” tires for mine. Took awhile cause not very common in that size unless for smaller or mid sized cars.

Wish they'd quit cranking out so many diesels that people don't need also. I see way too many guys driving a new power stroke or Cummins to park it at their office job all day. Just drives up the cost of trucks and fuel for people who actually need a diesel truck. Towing a boat or camper once a year doesn't qualify as "needed" either.

GM had it pegged from '96 to '04. Just bring those back with a 29,000 dollar price tag for a new vehicle.

What you are all talking about is a true pickup truck that is no longer offered. Drive a S10 Chevy love that small 4by4 basic power windows air tilt cruise can reach in the box with feet on the ground needs box replaced,131kk on it. trucks today have to many bells and whistles sit way to high and why do we need that much room in the wheel wells not to mention how fast the box fenders and rockers rust out And the new ones cost like wow.

4x4, AC/Heat, AM/FM radio, vinyl floors and seats, key start, electric locks/windows optional. That’s all I want and they don’t make it anymore. 4 doors would be a necessity also.
