This happened about an hour north of me. A friend and I were trying to figure out why the bear wasn’t hibernating and why he attacked a human. We figured he had become acclimated to being fed and lost his fear of humans.

Then we found out it had tested positive for rabies.

The guy was lucky the neighbor was there and armed, and was able to kill it before it did more serious damage.

Eh...wot?
