Sounds like your trappers association dropped the ball if they are open for hunters but closed to trappers. Maine Inland Fisheries and wildlife constantly drops the ball to the antis who want trapping outlawed.

How about lynx? do the dogs know the difference? i would think not......jk Nope. The hunter must pay attention and try to hunt areas with no or few lynx. Sounds like some friends of mine who run coyotes in MN with walkers. I asked if their hounds ever run into wolves and what they do about it if they do? He said they can usually tell by the size of the tracks if they're on a wolf. Then they pull the dogs off in case they are. But, they do the same and try to stay out of areas where running into a wolf is a possibility.
One day you'll find someone who is obsessed with you. It's probably going to be a dog. But, it is what it is.

Sounds like your trappers association dropped the ball if they are open for hunters but closed to trappers. Maine Inland Fisheries and wildlife constantly drops the ball to the antis who want trapping outlawed. A good strong trappers association backed by a membership consisting of most all the trappers in the state would be able to develop good political connections that would put the brakes on the beurocrats right quick.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
