This year has been the worst year for Jerry when it comes to trapping. Hres been fighting illness since back in late November including a bout with pneumonia that just about did him in.( partly because he was stubborn and wouldn't go to the doctor). Im lucky I didn't lose him..he ended up with a partial collapsed lung. He missed about 3 weeks work with illness and snow Anyway he's at it again in Mississippi. I was glad to see him go( not because I didn't want him here) but because he was wanting to trap so bad and seeing g him not able to go like he's been going was hard to watch. He's been feeling really good since about Christmas or so and he was ready to go south. He's in some hood areas so hopefully he'll have some great catches. I'm just happy he's able to trap the season cause it was touch and go for a while.

The south is awash in otter this year for whatever reason, guess several years of low fur price's on them has allowed them to populate up. Ran into a bunch of them last week not even trying to catch them and saw one ran over in the road. Breeding season now so they running everywhere.
Tell him he's like me, get a sniffle need to go ahead and get a shot and some med's, we use to just work through that type stuff but now it doesn't go away, just turn's into something worse! Age seems to catch you no matter how fast you try to run away from it.
