I got one on a small chunk of crawler on a 1/16 oz jig, on my fly rod. It was a blast but I haven’t been able to repeat the event. Lord knows I’ve tried.

Have you ever used a liquid or gel type lure enhancer?

What is your opinion of them?

If you can't catch .....Carp.....I wouldn't quit your day job.......I learned about carp at my first job in ohio late 60s.........I was only white guy in company.....when waiting on loads...drivers would fish in gravel quarry.....nick named me........" youngblood "...... Let's go blood, they would say to me , we're going to show you how to catch dinner ......they would open can of corn and throw it, sreading out on water........we'll come back tommorow to fish........next day....would fill hook with new canned corn kernels....no special hooks........no sooner did it hit water......carp would hit.....they would set hook.......and caught their fill of carp.....all the while...laughing and joking that a white boy knew nothing of carp fishing............you better check with your state fish and game......if what they called baiting the hole.......is legal in your state....

A circle hook don't work well for carp because they are designed to catch a fish in the corner of the mouth and carp don't really have a corner in their mouth
Most any other hook will work, but they make a special hook for hair rig's
Google European hair rig hooks

I see. Hair rigs are interesting. I'll keep it in mind if I'm ever in an area with carp.
