I got a hand me down 2 door hard top Impala that was gorgeous so of course I could wait to yank that 400 small block and 400 turbo tranny and stuff them under the hood of a rust bucket 74 Cheyenne Super. The thing would run and I soon found some painted white mag rims to complete the lipstick on a pig look.

First truck I ever drove was an old International cabover. had a 318 horse detroit with a 13 speed. Went literally all over this country in it. No AC and real sorry AM radio. Armstrong steering, wedge brakes and a sleeper bunk about 3 feet wide. Bunk level with the top of the dogbox. I was young and the old guys told me I was lucky. talked about keeping a piece of plywood behind their seats and a sleeping bag. Laying the plywood across the seats and the dog house.
First pickup was a 63 chevy 1/2 ton with a 4 speed and 292 straight 6. 2wd.

1959 F-250, 4x4, 300/6cyl, 4 speed with creep gear. Bought in 1966. She wasn't much to look at but she was (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) for stout by golly!!!

67 ford, 4x4, 352 ci, 4 speed trans, hi lo diff, oil bath air cleaner and factory brush guard. When I bought it in 1986 for $2000 it had 45,000 miles and 60,000 when i sold it in 1988. Man I miss $1 a gallon gas .
Had to barrow the cash from dad to take the split rims off and get new rims and tires, if I got in trouble he'd threaten to take them back lol
