Wow, I would probably have to give that one a pass if I was it out running around. If in a trap where I could get a better look maybe not.

Coydog but at least you can tell it's a coyote. Seen several i assumed were stray dogs, short hair, black, brown eye's instead of yellow, etc. NOTHING about them looked like a coyote but they had a regular colored coyote momma.
Not my circus, not my clowns.

Looks like a coydog. Used to see a lot of them in NE Texas. Saw a lot that had bred with hunting hounds. Had a bunch of plot looking coyotes running around. Lol

That's someones pet. Lack of catch circle means it's used to being tied up. Hope you let it go !!!! Did even bother to read what the OP said?

Do you have a picture of it showing the tail from the back? I'd be interested to see if it has that dark spot on its tail as all wild k-9s do Unfortunately I do not. He came in from the right on that back trail, worked his way toward the camera, then away from the camera and back down the road, stopping to sniff the area that I'd caught the female in a couple days prior. Then he was on his way. But the camera didn't take any photos of his rear end as he walked away, they are all pretty much head on approaching or his left side.

Is it ever possible for a wolf to breed with a domestic dog? I never thought so, but it almost looks like that's what that is.
My doctor suggested I start doing squats, so I moved all the beer to the bottom shelf of my fridge.

I'm glad I don't have to have such debates.
The only coyotes I've seen in South Dakota are your basic tawny typical, maybe a few redder tint, and maybe a few paler tints. NOTHING like those canines pictured. Maybe out around the big NA reservations where they let their dogs run wild but nothing like that around the largest metro area in our state. I guess we're just lucky...

Go to the start of any dog race and you'll see lots of those! Bottom line I wouldn't have posted the picture on any site!
