He might do it himself, he used to do European mounts, he did a coyote skull for me

He's guessing it might have been collared in SD, hopefully he will call them

Update on collar, it's not a WY collar, possibly SD or NE, several cougar have been taken from NE.
The collar is very old, he's trying to find where it came from.
Then they can tell him how old she was when collared and when.
My friend thinks she's more than 15 years old, no molars left, one tooth left between the canine teeth.
He said she took a deer down and killed it, ate only some liver, then laid there next to the deer from before 2:30 am and 10:00 am.
Skiff of snow stopped about 2:30, the tracks and kill tracks had the snow in them
She was probably so wore out she couldn't or didn't want to move after killing the deer, melted snow to bare ground where she laid

It sounds like this may have been her last winter. Very interesting story.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Very interesting story, and I think your friend did that ol' cat a favor. Sounds like she didn't have much longer in this world.

That's what I told him, I wonder if she would have made it to summer time,

I hope he finds out where, when she was collared, he said old collar like that used to have an antenna on it.
Be cool to find out how old she was
Almost forgot, he said there were six to eight teeth marks or dents from teeth on the collar box, did the collar save her from a death hold?

If that is an SD collar it’s definitely old! We haven’t collared cats for many years

At any rate, that’s a good lion.

Good and dead, just how I like them!
