That greyhound hunting is pretty brutal, especially to be putting it out there on TV.
Hope they don’t regret that someday.

Lots of decoy dogs out here they tease them closer and closer to the shooter it pretty sweet to watch.

In western KS they drive along those tree lines with a 10-22 and big magazines shooting into the brush and ditches to scare them out. Get right on top the coyote by driving like maniacs till close to the coyote. In stubble or grass a lot of times there will be several dog wagons driving side by side about 100 yards apart till one is jumped. I went a few times when I was a kid and didnt like it much. Used a plane to spot them back then. Then the plane radioed the wagons where it was. They dont use planes anymore its illegal.

Those guys spend a LOT of time and a LOT of money keeping those wagons drivable. They roll a few every year. Broken suspension and axles real common.

Mean personally I don't really enjoy a lot of dog hunting...well a lot of the sup part did it where the dog is the one doing the killing...sorry but the part were your seeing a few dogs rip at a critter for while is squalling....yeaaaahhhh ... Ad a few guys whooping and hollering.... that's the part that's not my cup of tea. Everything up to that though , the race ,the dogs the community shooting the critter all that love it

But that being said the UK tried doing the whole don't post don't show don't talk about it and now if you look up anything about hound hunting over there it's NOTHING but anti stuff. I mean they're really boned because lack of good optics of any form just makes it easier for the other guys to set the narrative....that and they refuse to try and get with the times per say when it comes to how they do things . Look into it and all you see is a bunch of rich old white guys mean mugging eveyone with a pack of dogs behind them .... Don't really scream " hay this is something we should keep around " for most people nowadays. And you can say whatever you want about tradition..... Honestly it's a pretty bad argument nowadays for most..The times of just staying off the radar are pretty much over so if your not playing a few steps ahead to try and get the narrative the way it needs to be ..well

They Don't mind private property though unless challenged

They were on mine and my Families land Tresspassing. I told them to leave and they argued that they were doing a public service. Not hardly

Some friends of mine are big into the race dogs. Their uncle/great uncle ran the race dogs on coyotes. They just mostly do competition. There's a lot of work that goes into keeping the dogs in top condition. They feed a mix of beef liver, kidney leaf fat and really high end kibble. They make decent money from winning.

Those grey hounds seem to be heavy on the sight hunting , they loose them in the grass very quick.

around here they run hound on yotes , then watch the tracking collars on display on the Garmin and go intercept with shotguns and buck shot.

Its also pretty brutal when coyotes kill beagles while rabbit hunting.Pretty awesome watching this.Congrats.......way to go

There was quite a bit of that done here when the dog track in Waterloo was going they would get old race dogs and use them but when it closed most of the dog runners quit.

Most buyers wont buy dog caught coyotes even when there is a market. Never knew ever one to skin one. They wait a week or so to haul carcasses then tell everybody the buyer is crooked. Even worse than the coon hunters. Coon hunters at least skin them. Some years back a local hunter wanted me to put up his coons after he saw what I got from NAFA. He paid me and let me trap his farm. So did his friends So I kinda had to. Taught his son how to do it and showed him the money cut. He did better than skins at local buyer but just would not believe that his dogs damaged them. Dog hunters for coyotes are worse. At least the ones I know. All say the same thing. Their dogs dont tear them up.

The world is their playground. Was told by hound hunters here that they really can’t steer a dog.
Different approach here. They dump the dogs off at one end of section and then quickly drive to other end and wait. Hounds have gps and sound command. Sit back and wait for hounds to push one to them and the rifle takes the coyote. Haven’t seen many greyhounds around here mostly walkers and tri colored hounds.

Probably better than the other group around here that don’t use dogs they just drive edges of draws and shoot and tear up trucks and go wherever they want to.

Agreed....it'll bite them eventually and they will scratch their heads wondering why.

i dont have anything against anybody obeying the law. I like to listen to a coon dog on a dark night. But coyotes with sight dogs is not my cup of tea.

Stupid, same reason I hate deer drives, I like trapping or calling because it puts my intelligence against an animals, the greatest game of chess i get to play. If I can make them step in the exact right spot and I make all the moves right I win, if not they win. If I can't play that way, I'd rather not play the game. I like fair odds not stacked decks
