With all the chicken moms getting chickens, the chicks at TS never last long enough to go on "sale"....maybe buying the started hens when the moms get tired of them would be a better deal...!?...

at tsc when chicks came in 3 days ago suppose to get 5 boxes they got 2, 6 dead ones in 1 box surprise their not allowing so many to customer

Option B........there are folks who will get a few thousand baby chicks, raise them to layer age, then sell them as pullets, ready to go. Around there they show up on Craigslist. Maybe face plant.

If memory serves, $15 to $20 each. But that covers cost of chicks........feed and labor and death loss to get them to laying age.

Here, you have to buy a minimum of 6, some kind of NY law

Alot of the people that get chickens don't realize ya don't get an egg for 5 or 6 months in some cases and by the time they start to lay they just want rid of them.

I got alot of chickens from those people.lol

usaullly buy chicks in june july when no body wants them any more for half price or less from stores might not happen this year lol

Might be good time to start chicken rustling !!
