I've shed way more tears over losing dogs than I have over people. I hope there's nothing wrong with that.

My fox red lab of 13 had to be put down. I am devistated to say the least. How can an animal have that much hold on a persons emotions. This boy taught me how to duck hunt. He was by my side constantly and he knew when I was hurting. The smallest things right now , like going to the mailbox which he loved to do for some reason is extremely painful. I gave my boy CPR in my living room on his bed and he came back but he was so messed up that hehadto be euthanized. My wife just gave him a bath in which he understood as his spa treatment before his issue. God I miss him already. Even though this is killing me I feel like I can’t be without a dog in my life. I guess I will start looking for another best friend. Just needed to unload my stress…

Sorry to hear that. I've been through it too. Time will heal.

Thanks for all of the responses. I usually don’t put myself out there like this but this time around has been rougher than with the other pups. Getting soft in my old age I guess.
