Hit my finger with a 330 spring which gave me a rather nasty bruise but didn't break anything so I'll call it a win. About to haul myself up the riverbed to a clearing that's 100-200 yards across depending on which direction you measure and set up a bait pile and some snares. It's raining a little bit which fogs up my glasses but it's bot very cold at least.

Today was typical for a retired old fart. Yesterday, though, I took my wife to Mayo Clinic and we got good news.

Good day in Court. Got to finally see the wife and kids after about ten days of running hard at the office.

Weather was perfect for a long walk tonight.

I like this idea.

Thankfully no! First cow we've lost in 5 years. Second time cutting down the wrong tree in 10 years, both times due to miscommunication with customers.

Sun came out, weather warmed up, snow melting fast, bees flying. Things are pretty good in these parts.

I only saw bees because I was standing in front of the colonies. They were flying to carry water back to the hives in the mid afternoon when temps maxed out around 53 but the average person isnt going to be in a location to readily spot that activity. Depending on the temps the willows and skunk cabbage could open in next 10 days or so but the bees will need temps in 50s with little wind in order to fly much at this time of year in search for fresh pollen.

Just got back from checking traps. While I was along the creek bank checking a couple of otter sets, my lab decided to run down skunk and get sprayed. I just got back in the house after given him a couple of baths I’m

was a good day. Made it home at 1030 last night and got to sleep next to my wife in my bed. As I was going to sleep I would hear a buzz noise now and then the would wake me up. I determined it was in the breaker box and when the furnace kicked on. Put in a new breaker and took care of that this morning, cut a load of wood with the boys hung out with my wife. It was a great day. Lucked out found a problem and got it fixed got to spent time with the family and a little work done on the farm. Even played with the dogs and pet one of the cats. life Is good.

I also saw bees but was making tracks in a hurry to get ready to leave for work and didn't take time to count how many colonies were still alive. One I over wintered in a swarm trap wasn't.

Had a hernia surgery on Monday and although the pain is easing up a bit this morning, it darn near kills me to sit or stand. It's all good though and I'm thankful that I should be able to return to work in about four weeks..Hope everyone else is enjoying life while you can.
