See it all the time. The idiots that crowd the center line and actually swerve at you to try to make you move over to the edge of the road. Nope. And always some bad dude on a Harley .

People in cars been trying to kill me for 50 years ! None have been successful so far.

A guy on a motorcylce in front of me popped a wheely in the middle of traffic on the George Washington bridge back years ago.One slip and there would be at least 50 or more cars run him over.Just plain crazy.

What constitutes driving like a fool ! I often ride alongside those I trust at 80 mph. I will ride 6” off the centerline facing opposing traffic.

I don’t race around cutting in and out of traffic.

that isn't them trying , that is just what happens when they are trying not to but not very good drivers.

Riding the centerline is a safety thing.

Weaving in and out of traffic is stupid on every level. As is doing wheelies in traffic.

Like 2Poor, I've ridden at 80 mph with packs of people. It takes a lot of trust in the people you are riding with. There is a lot of communication going on in pack rides that normal people don't understand or even see happening.

If you just assume every vehicle is driven by a Somalian woman , nothing surprises you while riding !

I might support a Bounty on those Crotch Rocket types that over rev there bikes while weaving in and out of traffic.

They give American motorcycle enthusiasts a bad name !

Look at the center of a travel lane after a rain. You will often see the oil film deposited as it drips from the countless vehicles. Not the safest area for a bike !

Quick bike story, we were on the road, no traffic, motorcycle roars past us swerving and fooling around at about 80 mph, said to the kids, that fool is trying to kill himself.... a few miles done the road there he is laying in the middle of the road dead, his bike a hundred yards down the road. cop just got there and was taking a sheet out of the trunk to cover him, drove past slow, my 8 year old son was sitting on that side of the car and got an eyeful....

Kid never showed interest in motorcycles after that and you can barely get him to do the speed limit.....

I came up on a wreck two weeks ago where a gal in a Ford Escape that had crossed the centerline and took on a UPS semi pulling a trailer
Took two wheels off the trailer and spun her into the ditch. She and her passenger Escaped without injuty.

I'D BET SHE WAS ON HER CELL PHONE.

Buried a friend who was found dead on his bathroom floor. Diabetes had slowly consumed him leaving a shell of the man he once was . I probably road 500 miles along side him last summer !

I have no doubt he would have rather gone out on his bike.

My wife was an insurance adjuster for 34 years. Saw countless fatalities from near every mode of transportation available. Certainly saw her share of grieving spouses. Despite that she understands nobody gets out of here alive !

Nothing like a motorcycle, snowmobile, or four wheeler to bring out the stupid in a person.


We have that summer ad campaign, “watch for bikers”.

I watch em all right, watch em do dumb stuff all summer! Than they go splat and it’s always the others fault .

I do not like riding with a large group of people. Know who you are riding with. I use the hole lane I am riding in. If the traffic is heavy in the direction I am going I am riding, I ride close to the center line because if I don't car's will use my lane to pass me. I the traffic is
heavy in the opposite direction I stay to the outside of the lane so the cars can see me easier if they are trying to pass the car in front of them. If it starts to rain and I have time I will pull over and let the rain wash off all the junk oil etc off the road.
If you ride a motorcycle sooner or later, you will get hurt. Broke a shoulder on a dirt bike. No road problems. Stop riding when 76 years old. Be safe.

Seems to me most of the Harley guys are just out to enjoy a ride,,while them crotch rockets jerks are out to show off and draw attention,while creating unsafe traffic situations.

My grandfather always said, "ride a bike like it will kill you, cuz if you don't it will"

cars and trucks need to leave bikers alone were just trying to ride and have a good time if you don't like them drive another way.
