I took cans in this week. They are bringing .70 a pound
this is 90 lbs.




I took in 85 pounds one day and 103 pounds today.

59 and some change and
72.and some change today.

They paid for feed and gas and hay. Not too bad for "free money"

We probaly have another 500.00 worth of crushed cans to take in.

28 contractor bags full of untrusted cans in all.

Wait till next week when the 25% duty kicks in on aluminum imports
Should kick into 1.00 USD/pound by weeks end

Hah.neither one of us drink but a guy I know drinks a 30 pack a day and I get the cans.

Aluminum cans went up this week from $0.73/lb to $0.85/lb. Guess I should have held on to them a bit longer.

A lo of people in Ohio take cans to Michigan to turn in for 10 cents each. That comes out to around $2.40 a pound. It's almost definitely illegal, but I've never heard of anyone getting caught.

I know of some people who have paid for complete Michigan vacations with cans and bottles from Ohio.

Saskatchewan has it so you can only take in 75$ a week or 750 cans /fruit juices/ milk jugs
and may require a proof of a Health card.

It's crazy but he works his butt of surgery the day they say but drinks himself to bed everynight.

I need to get to know an alcoholic and get their cans

He had a bunch of.blood work done and they said he's healthy as a horse..none of us could believe it.
I figure cirrosis of the liver from the beer or lung cancer from the 2 packs of camels a day will get him.
I don't know how his wife stands it..she doesn't drink or smoke cigarettes.

In the meantime I'll keep getting their cans.lol

When I inspected bars and restaurants I used to stop at a bar that served most beer in cans. It was a hole in the wall place but very popular. The crushed can depth in the basement was always ankle deep or higher. Twice a year they would shovel the cans into big plastic bags and head to the recycler’s place. They told me they got a better price if they brought in 750 pounds or more at a time.

It’s been years since I retired from inspections. But I still stop there when trapping. They still have a basement ankle deep in crushed cans. Haha, they don’t mess with success.
