Did you try cursing while you hit it?

Probably won't help but you might feel better.

True, but I've had singles I've had to fight too.
Granted, this was the worse I've ever dealt with

Davep at that rate you need to find an old sprocket puller for the final drives of a Cat dozer.

A propane torch where the rim meets hub works. It makes the hole in the rim bigger and will just about fall off. Keep the torch moving around and around so you don't overheat any spots and melt the paint or clearcoat. It doesn't take all that much heat to work.

Are you talking getting wheel off the car or breaking the bead to get the tire off the rim?

It won’t be at least until Saturday until I have a chance to attempt the other side..

Been clearing trees and brush all day and trying to get what I can done before this crazy sounding weather moves in.

I’m apprehensive about using a high heat source because of the aluminum rims. I’m nervous about melting them

I have aluminum frying pans

so 450 isn't going to melt a thing

aluminum has a melting temp of 1221 with a recrystallization temp 650-750

you just want to keep that torch moving and warm it up to get the aluminum to expand different than the steel behind it to break the galvanic corrosion from aluminum and steel

now the plastic coatings they might have on the aluminum to keep it from turning black that might melt off but it will be drivable and that seems to be all that matters

you are going to start smelling hot rubber way before you melt an aluminum rim

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
