I do nuisance work as well, I normally use the bridger #5 CS laminated. I also use 750s, I tend to gravitate towards the Bridger. Only modifications out the box for me is to get pan tension right and file the dog just a tad to lessen pan creep. I do not use setters personally.

Swamp, I'm curious why you like the 750's over the No BS beaver Xtremes?

My xtremes lock up so good I took the 4 coils off and just run 2 coils. I can set them by hand and haven't had the first bit of trouble with losing beaver.

The 750's cost $50 more per dozen and obviously aren't coated. Just curious why you choose them over the beaver xtreme? Don't like the dogless design?

The pan size of the 750s matches the jawspread more to my liking (I like a smaller pan on beaver footholds.)They fit and lay better in my trays as I built them for 750s.

I had more than 2 dozen 750s a few years ago and slowly sold them off in search of a "better" beaver foothold. Wish I had em all back.

Not downing the NoBS Beaver Extremes.....they are a good beaver trap...and you are correct about the lockup.
