Understand. Just commenting, not saying what would wok in your case. The bolt/screw in mine, that fastened the stock, if I recall was maybe a couple inches long. I have no idea if it was original. I was just glad to get something that looked broken, to great condition.

What gets really weird and open to abuse is something called "constructive intent".

Basically just having all the unassembled parts of something that could be built into something illegal, or legal depending on how you mix and match, in close proximity could get you charge with intent to commit a crime.

Total horse hockey in my book.

Might as well arrest all women for prostitution by the same logic that they have the parts.
