this is reported to be the hardest pistol shooting qualification in law enforcement

do you think you can shoot this and make the times?

the 4 wide by 6 1/4 tall primary scoring box is a little smaller than I am used to , the targets we shoot the A zone is 5.91 wide by 11.02 tall , but even at that standard it would be a good test if you kept them all in the A zone rather than 80%in

Back in the day - no sweat. Now -- probably need a bit of tuning up. Haven't trained for a while. Looks like a fun course.

I would have a problem some days with the drop to a knee reload and fire the second round , some days the knees just don't want to work right. most days they are fine and it isn't walking that makes them stiff it is not walking.

I will have to get to the range and try it some time

my range has pistol bays where we can shoot sides and down range so cross lane stuff is no issue we don't have lanes.

I hear you with the knees. Good knee pads save a lot of pain for that kind of practice with an old body.

I have the accuracy to pull it off but I've never run speed drills. I actually will qualify to apply to air marshals in about a year, maybe I should start running drills XD

When I was qualifying , yep, and that was with a revolver, not exactly the same but darn close... with a semi it would feel like cheating, lol

Mandatory retirement at 57 would be my guess as to the reason why.

I am also out for the 37

I had originally heard that as an age limit of 37 and I was thinking man that would make your service years like 16 between 21 and 37

but as applicant age it makes a lot more sense and I would guess wanting to get 20 years in before you retire.

Oh well.

I can still re-up with a waiver.

Airlines have been pretty short on air marshals the last few years. Maybe things are going to change. Planes would be a great target for Jihadists in this country. Lord knows enough came over the border.
