Made a huge difference! Lures, baits and urine in one. All tanning agents in another. Then heavy and bulky hardware and such in the third. Freed up a lot of shelf space. Got everything neat and organized and swept out the shed.

It’s so easy to accumulate too much and have it in disarray. I’m already guilty of that

Around my shop it seems any horizontal area is like a magnet and attracts stuff. After a short time things begin to pile up. Being organized saves a lot of time looking for things or buying more since my shop seems to eat things only to caugh them up later but only after I've replaced that item. My hats off to the person who invented the milk crate!

Are those the kind of milk crates you find inside the store, or out behind the store?

Nice storage savers! Got about a couple hundred of them on site. I asked to borrow them from the grocery store and the manager said to bring them back when I was done with them. So far not done with them yet.

That's a good start, the challenge is to keep it that way in the middle of trapping season.

I just talked to a guy a few hours ago, who is supposed to get me a hundred milk crates this week, which I need to hold deep tree pots in. I'm hoping he comes through soon.

I must have 50 of them. When I pick up milk for the food bank, the grocery store doesn’t want them back. I like to skin beaver on them. Zip tie four of them together….blood goes through the holes, easy to spin the beaver around when you’re skinning.

I did that with the one with the lures cause some of the bottles are tiny!

I’m definitely going to buy more crates later for the traps

For lures and the like you could use coffee can if you can get some.

Those old coffee cans are hard to find. Especially when you don’t drink the stuff!
I used to make coffee can chicken in my paps old wood stove!

Plastic ones do work but yes if you don't drink it they're hard to find.

Gave up on milk crates. They ended up a tangled mess. I use on rolling modular tool box from harbor freight. One box has smaller boxes inside with lids. I use that one for lures and bait.

Not exactly long liner but it works for me.

I like that solution.

Not just trapping related but for organization I'm poor at I have decided I need to get several containers/ tool boxes that stack well and label each for each type of tools.

example one for concrete, electrical, plumbing, carpentry ect. not just tool but to keep all the extra fitting and parts together and organized.

Often it takes me longer to find the tools than do the job and I end up buying stuff I already have and can't find and end up with duplicate tools and parts I didn't need to buy.

Hopefully redoing building and geting more time at home will help me get organized. That looks like a good solution a box like that for each type of tools complete with places for small parts.

Those stackable pack outs are pretty slick. You can get all kinds of different styles and customize how you want it. Keep an eye out for when they’re on sale.

That bottom box is what I use for baits and lures.

The open middle will hold six 1lb jars of bait. The others I can segregate lures by type and if the inevitable leak occurs it doesn't foul everything.

I’m sure things have changed since I worked on a milk truck, but back then, the crates belonged to the milk companies, not the store. But back then, those were metal and not plastic. And still got some of the metal ones, because when the milk company went to plastic, my dad was given some by the milk company, not the store.
