A lot of guys here make or have made some beautiful wallets and even some belts, with beaver tails.

You can put em on TrapShed. There is likely an interested "trapper" that will purchase them and turn em in for bounty in their area.

I know it has been done b4. It's a shame that folks are that dishonest, but it's what some will do for a dollar

Didn't know beaver tails had a bounty anywhere.

As stated coonman. Post them for a $1-$3 a piece or whatever you want plus postage on trapshed and they'll move

I have seen them sell if reasonably priced in the bounty states of the south. LOL

That's why some of the counties in Mississippi quit paying bounties because people were buying and turning in tails from out of state.

A Wisconsin guy trapping in jackson county Arkansas screwed the system there because the trappers taking local beaver got azzed out cause Mr wisconsin brought a truckload of beaver tals with him to Arkansas and boutied them.

He got all the bouty money by cheating.

They had to limit the number allowed to turn in to 15 once a month and they only took them for a few hours.

I know of a guy in Arkansas that bought a bunch out of Wisconsin to bounty and his freezer went bad.. good for him.lol..

Hetried to screw the system but he got the screwin.lol

As far as the bounty thing I believe Franklin county here you have to have the beaver and the DNR officer cuts the tail off and keeps it to prevent reuse.

One side of a beaver tail sells for $20.00 to $35.00, tanned on EBay and Etsy. What does it cost to get a beaver tail tanned?

What Is their average width and length?

Coonman, I've shipped raw frozen tails many times. Put them in plastic trash bags to make sure there is no leakage and insulate the box a little and send frozen on a Monday. Haven't got any complaints. Of course if it's hot weather....

Coonman,I use the coolers from Omaha beef or similar containers to ship tails. They stay frozen and customers are pleased.

I think it would depend on the final use of the tails, salt might be ok if they are just skinning the tails for leather but probably not if they are wanting beaver tail oil. I would talk to who is buying them.
