The Kansas Fur Harvesters Assocation will be having our fur auction on March 15 at the National Guard Armory in Abilene. This is across the road to the north of Sterl Hall where the auction was last year. Doors open at 7 am and the auction will start at 9 am. Contact Roger Macy for lot numbers 785-346-2076.
New this year: We will be allowing other trapping related items to be sold in addition to fur. This includes by-products (skulls, glands, tails, feet, etc), traps/equipment, antler and tanned fur. All by-products must be contained in hard sided containers. All items will be sold by lot, not by weight. Make sure items meet KDWP regulations. We will also be allowing carcass fur this year, mainly for unique items that may be taxidermy quality. Be advised that many common carcass animals such as raccoons, coyotes and opossums are not wanted and will likely not receive a bid. Any item that doesn't receive a bid will be going back home with the trapper.
