Good stuff WS. Like seeing those virgin boards getting dirty. Gotta love those foot caught beaver in Belisles.

Thanks guy, this was my first time giving it a go for spring beaver. 17 beaver on my first check in that tailgate pic. Trapped hard for 8 days with between 30-40 sets. Had a fun time. Could have done more but it’s a lot of work for one person. Season is still open for a few more weeks, but I’m all done for the year. Need to finish putting up fur and then onto spring gobblers.

Portable pocket design I came up with. 24” 1/2” PVC with a 90 degree split coupling on top to put lure in. Spray painted in sun yellow.

Beavers down here will not approach such a setup as that. Not even beavers that have never been trapped b4. Why? I do not know.

The exposed (and white) drowning rod is another beaver deterrent down here.

Took a week off work to trap beaver with the girls. Ended up pulling the traps two days early, felt like I was getting greedy. 14 beaver & 3 otter in 5 days.

Go outside and do stuff.

Looks like you had a great week JS. Is this still your regular season or nuisance work?

Regular season ended the 30th, I pulled the traps on the 28th. It was a great week, my kids had more fun trapping than they thought they would. I haven't ran a line since I was a teenager, so every morning felt like Christmas to me.

Go outside and do stuff.
