Anyone use them? What type do you use and what's your primary reason for using them? Would love to hear people's thoughts . Thanks

I use expand a pans for my 160s/220s. Mainly use them in shallow water sets like in culverts/ditches. Theyre very sensitive.

I made some out of 1/4" hardware cloth folded over, stuck the trigger wires through them, works good.

Used them on marten last season. I don't think I noticed any benefit over using regular trigger wire set-ups. If you're looking to get some, I'd recommend that you buy coroplast or similar online and cur your own. Better than anything you can buy.

I use them on Belisle 120’s for marten. Old BCtomcat’s repeated advice that with pans 120’ placed 4-5” from the bait had exact and repeatable strikes has held true. I have also picked up one lynx and several fisher with the pans. Not saying that the pans made a difference with the lynx and fisher, but catches on mink that climb and marten are exactly the same, every one.

I make mine from 3/8 plywood and drill two holes to slide the trigger wires through, fold the tag ends of the wires under the pan and staple to the bottom side of the pan. I found that a stapler for phone IW works very well for the task.

I use wood bolt on. I was using them for coon in cubby boxes where chance to mink was high. I was catching mink in my coon boxes every season.

I cut mine out if old corrugated signs and carry extras with me when checking as I need to replace a few lost or damaged ones after a catch. Very cheap and easy to make.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I like to glue some thin wood flooring to my pans.

I put the wood on because I think it has a more natural feel and grip and look to a mink, which is my primary trap I've used the pans on. I haven't noticed a catch rate difference in pan or regular trigger wires yet. I've used these all in boxes so far.

I use to use them. And had success with them. Just too sensitive for me. And I prefer the 4 way wire triggers

I use them on 120s and 155s for marten and fisher trapping. I use both metal and wood types I even have some make shift ones where I've applied ducttape to my trigger wires and bent them 90 degrees. They have made all the difference in keeping my misses to a minimum in the Lynx exclusion devices us guys in Maine are required to use also it helps thin out the bait stealing weasels.
