According to the state's website, coyote numbers being turned in have been decreasing by approximately 40% for the last 4 years. during that time around 3400 coyotes a year are being turned in. Not exactly a lot for the number of hunters and the square miles of the state.

Utah seems to have an aggressive predator management plan. I know they do a lot of work from planes, that might be some of the reason for the low numbers.
