Bought a bottle to doctor up some nest raider trailing sent. Surprised it had crystalized even though had cap tight. Internet says happens at 59 degrees. Does that make useless for trapping except summer use.

Pure anise star liquid will crystalize in the high 50 degree temp range, just its chemical make up. If blended in a formula it will change its properties and remain fluid unless below freezing temps. Due to its dilution of other materials.

Two questions.
Does its fragrance diminish as it goes closer to freezing.
Once crystalized can it be made liquid again.
Thanks

Stored good Anise Star will crystalize as I stated when it reaches that lower temperature range. When it is warmed back up it will liquify once again.

Good Rhodium oil will also crystalize.

Most all fragrances diminish to some degree with falling temps just the nature of how molecules perform but there will still be odor release.

This brand never changes consistently.Number one ingredient is alcohol but it’s pretty powerful.

I am going to try next time. Making scents and bait are 1/2 the fun. Will never try making lures.
