When picking batteries for LED flashlights, there are many different amperage options.

Does a higher amp battery burn brighter, or burn longer? Is brightness determined by the bulbs only?

higher amp hour (or milli-amp-hour) batteries will last longer. A 2ah battery of the same voltage will last twice as long as a 1ah battery. But, on cheap batteries the rating is often inflated, so be suspicious.

On some items you need a big battery to get the full potential of the device. But unless its a very big LED flashlight, even a small battery will likely get you full brightness. Just not as long of runtime.
