You can't help someone that does not car. I tried very respectfully to explain what went wrong, how to avoided it in the future. Infact it was the same year or year after I had one go up the tree on me for the same reason I told him that as well. The difference is I asked about it here and was told what I did wrong and corrected the problem won't do that again. Kendall Gray doesn't want to learn or change and didn't give to cents about protecting trapping when I was emailing him..

Feel free to give it a go if you want. it's been a few years maybe he has matured some? I would not place a bet on it though.

You know what I hate worse is finding a 550 with the mower that had been set off but not pulled by my son and got grown up around it. Yep just did that 550 did not survive.

Kidding about it being worse I don't think I would be interested in letting a bear loose. I think I would just have to pay the fines for shooting it.

That nut from Kentuckey is making a very good living on the internet. Do the math. YouTube pays an average of $ 0.02 per view. He has 4 million subscribers. A video he posted 12 days ago already has 544k views = about $10,000 A video he put up two weeks ago has 1.5m views = $ 30,000 A video he put up a month ago has 741k views = $14,820

So, he is making about $45,000 a month just from YouTube. YouTube has started to de-monetize posters that show trapping videos. His YouTube page has very few trapping videos. My guess is he has pulled them to keep his cash flowing.

If I were making $45,000 a month and someone told me to change something, I would tell that someone to go pound sand.

I just posted this in case you didn't know that many YouTubers are making north of $500,000 a year

If you read my first post I said I thought he was a moron but he did know how to make money on u tube.
He acted like an idiot but the boys liked watching him.

Regardless of how much money he makes he is a self centered jack leg that has zero problem putting trapping in a bad light. You may be OK with that because he make great money on u tube
Myself I don't care how much he makes his behavior dictates my opinion.

I never offered a right or wrong opinion. I just said what I'd say if I was good at my job and someone tried to tell me how to do it.

Maine still offers Bear Trapping. After two Bear Referendums we still manage a robust bear population by Trapping. There are many YouTube channels that offer bear trapping lessons.
Wildlife Control Supplies offers many solutions.
The products that utilize the Tripp Lock are above the best!

The Maine Bear Snare (tube Trap) is a great launcher and utilizes the Tripp Lock.

Interesting video, when I was a lot younger I used to catch a few to help train hounds. It worked great to help with the culling process. I used to use the Aldrich foot snare, I had lots of bears coming into bait piles. Used dead dairy cows whole as baits tied to trees. Bears are pretty wild in a trap, the longer the cable the crazier it was. This was over 30 years ago.

Oregon bears are colored funny. Aldrich's are still catching them.

The east side of the cascades has more color phase bears. The coast range is mostly black.
