Hey dirt why don’t you post some facts about your Green Party,,, when you post for the most part I skip you’ve gibbrish. After all you live in the arm pit of Alaska. ( your own words)
Most of you Canadians may not want to hear this but your best option is to become American and fall under our constitution.. Alberta will be the first province to join, then Saskatchewan and logically BC will follow, and I would argue who wouldn’t want to be governed under a free people’s constitution…After all you haven’t earned it, your history is to bend a knee to the crown of England, not ours.. And in the the end of it all Trump will be right… hard words, I know..
Don’t hate on the messanger, you were warned. Thanks for the profound post. I'm sure the Canadians will take your well researched and thought out advice. Actually, my favorite Party was the Alaska Independence Party. They wanted to secede from lower 48 brilliance.
Who is John Galt?

Shakey,,, BC had a strong independence movement in the 80’s,,before Alberta
Everyone on the west coast, involved in the fishing industry is completely fed up with Ottawa calling the shots,,have been for awhile
BC is one of the highest taxed provinces in Canada,,,and get’s crumbs in return
The cost of living is outrageous
The choice to continue being free range tax slave, or haveing potentially the lowest taxes in North America,,,,
Not saying it will happen but BC cutting ties with Ottawa is not laughable at all

Carney is evil,,,,, The quote posted here was not from Mark Carney’s book. It is from a review of the book by Peter Foster who was critical of Carney’s book. Prove it

BC.....Bring Cash. The fishermen might be ticked off, but what's their percentage of the population? The separatists in BC have to deal with the south west corner of the province where all the votes are. Alberta's a long shot, that leaves BC separating a distant speck on the horizon........but I've been wrong before. That one time when I was 12 years old. I thought I was wrong, but I was right......so I thought wrong.

To the Alberta issue as I’ve said, if you do anything stay independent. Do NOT join the US. Think it out before hand and construct a better government than you now have and a better path forward. People will agree with the prospect of a positive future more so than constant hammering of the existing bad. I think better representation is the key. Tweak our electoral college model or find something better. We in America need to do the same one day, times change, crooks learn. Vast geographical countries are becoming increasingly too diverse for a one size fits all approach. You may be the first in a long line to start the fragmentation and you won’t be the last.
Trumps point is western Canada is falling deeper and deeper into hole created by your east. We have those same problems plus our current runaway judicial system. Separate if you will, stay independent and cut your own trade deals.
The issue of ports has been brought up. Oil pipelines can be built from AB to our gulf states, direct rail lines and expressways can be built as well. Again those can be worked out, there is always a way.
I wish you folks luck.

Separation talk will be happening long after I’m dead.
At least the internet talk of it, I’ve yet to actually ever hear anyone speak those words.

I keep hearing about all of the young people in favour (1in 4 they say) but my kids, 21 and 19, soon to be power engineers, say they too, like me know of none personally. lol
But David Krayden, a “journalist “ on YouTube who also claims Mark Carney wants to get rid of cars in 5 years says so so it’s gotta be true.

I believe President Donald Trump will lay off on the Canada the 51st state rhetoric, now that he got carney elected with it. He will likely work with the leadership in Alberta and Saskatchewan, to help them succeed from Canada. He will offer them a very favored trade partnership as a reward. The people in those two provinces will become much more affluent when they leave Canada. and reap the benefits of their resources. Eventually, it will start making sense to the people, in those now free provinces, that there is a big advantage in being part of the US. Within 10 years, they will likely join, which will benefit all of us.

Keith is Danielle Smiths main source for the goings on here. He’s dialed in on the pulse of Canada.
