Most of the high country on the Peninsula is roadless so to see much of it you have to take off on foot. I did log some above Grisdale at about 6000 feet. Makes the best firewood and great guyline stumps, well rooted.

That’s the only firewood I burn. It’s all we have that’s any good. Red cedar burns like paper, and our spruce and hemlock take a decade to dry out
