There's probably not much you couldn't find there. It's the biggest swap/flea market in the US.

Been several times over this years.too much to see in one day. Skip the big barns, they’re mostly “artsy fartsy” stuff. Head toward the back of the sale,to the open air area. I have found some pretty good pieces over the years. Most of the dealers know what they have, and charge accordingly. Just be aware that this is a huge market and you will likely miss a lot of stuff.

I avoid that place like the plague

Too many people and too much chinese junk to wade through

However, if you just feel the need to go, concentrate your efforts on the NW corner of the main grounds. More like the old days, open air and lots of garage sale type stuff and more likely to find a bargain

Anything in particular you are looking for?

I used to find a lot more stuff on the Highway 80 sale
Already past the spring one, next one will be in the fall

Dave you should be able to find some there. We went last summer and we thought it was a lot smaller than it was several years ago. Several vendors told us that they had gone up on the spaces and a lot of them decided to go elsewhere. I know Dog Town was almost nothing.

About 25 years ago I went to I think Kenton Ohio for a huge dog/hunting swap meet with guns, knives etc - this was not Canton but I think Kenton Ohio - does that still exist. We travelled around at quite a few big coon hunts.

The big Canton Swap/Flea Market is in Canton, Texas. The Kenton, Ohio.National Coon Dog Trial & Swap was huge. On the weekends, it took close to an hour just to get in and park. I used to see more traps for sale there than anywhere else I've ever been. There were hundreds of dogs for sale there, mostly coffle chained to the ground. I think it's been gone since 2009. I occasionally here rumors that it's coming back.

It sort of got replaced by Max's Water Dog Races and Swap in Lima, Ohio.

There used to be really great swap meets in the late 80s and 90s.

My favorite was at the Miami County, Ohio Fairground. I used to make close to $40,000.00 a year there buying animals and reselling them.

Lucasville was good too, but it was to much work hauling everything back to the truck. I spent over $6000.00 the first time I went there and wore myself out.
