I don’t really know what I have! By reading the posts here, I think I may have a problem. I have around 20 in the garage, for fishing with the grandkids, whom will be here soon to thin out some bass for me. I have gear from ultra light, to heavy gear for mississippi and missouri river catfish!

Been fishing since I was a toddler and am 75 so I have and have had lots of fishing rods. From trout to muskie I've owned a bunch. One rod is an old Shakespeare fiberglass that was my dad's favorite walleye rod back in the 60's. He passed in 1970 at the age of 52. At least once a year my siblings and I honor him by using that old rod and it still catches walleye like it did back then. I also use a couple of fly rods that were my brothers who passed 5 years ago and I make sure trout still put a bend in them. If fishing rods could talk the stories they would tell.

If you don't what are you even doing?

Interesting. I have a lot because I frequently take new people out fishing both summer and winter so.... I have about 36 tip ups and 12 jigging rods for ice fishing. Summer gear there are at least 20 that I personally use ( everything from ultra light, fly rods, to musky) and another 52 for a fishing tournament for kids that I have been running for the last 30 years. There are also rods that come and go since people know I work with kids a lot. A guy stopped by last week with 8 rods and a day or two later a teacher in town needed six to take some students fishing. I also donated 160 jigs I found out Lure Hunting to give the kids some fish catching tackle.

Green Bay has a bunch. But if you need a good bad example to justify more, I have 14 i use on the boat (just counted today out of curiosity) another 12 that get used on rare occasion,... and another 96 mostly new (one of those deals too good to pass up.

Probably about 40. Not enough. I still need a half dozen more surf rods for lake superior
Go outside and do stuff.

A lot. When folks show up and we go fishing I can loan an appropriate rod for whatever we are doing.
