I think you got a great deal! Straight-run mixed chicks went for $1 each at our local livestock auction last Thursday. More desirable breed chicks, like Copper Marans, $2-$3 each. Those are the lowest prices I’ve seen this year, so the rush is over. Will likely sell cheaper the next couple weeks. Laying hens still averaging $15-$20, roosters $7-$15. More desirable adult birds bringing a couple bucks more. Turkeys and Pea-fowl always bring good money. Guineas $6-$8 for adults, keets (Guinea chicks) $1 each.

And blue andaluaias and somewhere forn10.09 a dozen..I flipped those already for 25..They're bringing 50 or 60 a doz so they went fast.

Everything else was crazy...the guineas brought 36.00 average..the ducks brought 35 plus....even the babies..the turkeys were crazy between 180 and 340.00

Hens brought between 26 and 68.00 a piece

Peacock eggs went for 25 to 75 each.

Pigeons brought 25.00 each

Baby geese brought 40..bid ones brought 75


Overall I wish I'd took some stuff to sell because for some reason the sale was nuts.

Rabbits brought between 25 and 60 each..even the babies.

I fell i missed the boat but I'm taking what i bought and some things I wanna get rid of at home to mt hope weds.

A guy came up to me after and said I made George pay more that. He's the guy that usually bought the roosters. He usually gets the roosters for 3.00 or less.

I bet he's whizzed at me.lol

The auctioneer came and shook my hand after the sale and thanked me.for helping get the prices up.

He didn't get any roosters for less than 9.00
