Some of them have a special feature where you can limit top speed. I assume so when teaching kids it can only go so fast. My buddy bought a used one and had the same problem and this is what he found. Dealer reprogramed it and it was fine. Don't know if you bought this used or it just started to happen. I'm no expert but after that I'd be checking the clutch

It feels governed out but in high. The seat belt being unbuckled governs it at 15. So, there is a seat belt sensor that could be bad? I really think it’s something like that, something simple. I wondered if the cluth might not let it engage but it governs out in park too so I don’t think it’s clutch related. I’ve had it five years, first time problem.

When you find the problem, you can also buy a little device on amazon that plugs into the wire going to the drivers seat belt that stops the speed restriction tied to the seat belt.

I have a 2023 1000 ranger, it was doing the same thing and making a squeal noise, not very loud but squeal. Took it to the shop, they threw parts at it for a month till I got mad and took it to a different shop. The other shop found the problem in 5 minutes. The bushing in the second area clutch had pushed out the back and was gone so the clutch plate was wearing on the transmission shaft, he said the polaris second area clutch are pure junk. 4000 to 5000 miles you have replace them. He ordered a aftermarket one that doesn't have that bushing. It cost me $600 for it and $150 labor but that fixed it. That seat belt deal you can get a seat belt bypass off Amazon. 2 of them for around $14 ,easy to put in under the seat. My ranger has 4200 miles on it Do you remember where he got the after market clutch? If it comes to that that’s what I’ll do.
